Hey North Tahoe Series! There's a lot of info here, so please take the time to ready through it carefully.
Nationals is just two weeks away, and we hope you’re as stoked as we are. Nationals is an incredible opportunity to connect with USASA athletes from around the country, test your riding and skiing against the best of the best, and most importantly, have fun and make new friends.
Snowboard Nationals kicks off on Saturday 3/28, and Freeski Nationals on Saturday 4/4, with the Opening Ceremony Parade through Center Village. This is a great chance for North Tahoe athletes to come together and support one another as we represent our series.
Each year, our series provides athletes who qualify for Nationals with North Tahoe Series swag at no cost. Recently, we’ve received feedback from athletes, parents, and coaches that many riders would also like to represent their individual mountains and teams while still showing their North Tahoe pride.
To accommodate this, this year we will be providing athletes with North Tahoe Series neck buffs and hand flags to wear and carry during the parade. Athletes are welcome to wear either North Tahoe Series branded outerwear from previous years or their own team outerwear, whichever they prefer.
Another important note about the parade: as a USASA community, we’re working to keep the pre-parade chaos to a minimum. If you’ve attended Nationals in the past, you know how crowded the area around the climbing wall can get before the parade.
Rather than arriving hours early, we encourage everyone to join the "Love Like Cody" lap at 3:30 PM. It would mean a lot to have all North Tahoe athletes and their families participate in the ride. After the lap, we’ll head over together to get lined up and ready for the parade.
Let’s show the rest of the country what North Tahoe is all about!
